Our guest curator this week is Jeff Dawson, director of the Lester Public Library in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. In 2010, the library received a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant to digitize the Hubert R. Wentorf historic photograph collection. Utilizing this collection and his own photography skills, Jeff has created a series of ‘then and now’ scenarios. The ‘now’ photos were all taken on July 30, 2012.
This first image shows the Waverly Hotel under construction in 1893. Today the Waverly name is still used for this popular restaurant/bar.

Visit the Lester Public Library on Flickr to see images of Two Rivers people, places and events, all photographed by Jeff in the past five years.
