Report of H. R. Lathrope, county agricultural agent, Kewaunee County, Wisconsin, 1927.
In 1911, the University of Wisconsin-Extension established the first county agricultural agent position in the state, in Oneida County. The county agents provided educational programming and assistance to local farmers. Kewaunee County agricultural agent H. R. Lathrope’s annual report from 1927 includes the tagline “Farm and Factory Must Prosper TOGETHER.”
