Wisconsin School for the Deaf, Delavan, Wisconsin, 1910 March 13-April 15 is National Deaf History Month. The Wisconsin School for the Deaf has provided educational opportunities to deaf and hard of hearing students for the past 161 years. The school was founded in 1852 after the family of Ebenezer Chesebro petitioned the Wisconsin legislature to establish a state-supported school for deaf students.
